The real estate business is filled with a lot of complexities. This is why many people have often distance themselves from it.

Despite this, there are still people making waves regardless of the complexities. One of such people is Winston Deloney.

Winston Deloney is a serial entrepreneur in the real estate business. He maintains a personal blog where he shares his workable ideas on the real estate market.

In this post, he takes us through how he scaled his real estate business.

Having a business, what difficulties did you face all along?

I am an entrepreneur who has always believed that having difficulties in business is a necessary thing. So, when I started facing difficulties, I had a positive mindset. This helped a lot in scaling through my difficulties.

The highlights of the difficulties that I faced came with the pandemic. As expected, the health measures slowed down the real estate business. It was difficult seeing a way out till the pandemic was over. But, with careful analysis and strategies, I was able to scale through.

How did you scale these difficulties?

Thinking about it now, I only can be grateful that I didn’t give up. Not giving up means a lot to me and is instrumental to scaling these difficulties.

Aside from this, there are also great strategies that I applied in scaling through these difficulties. These strategies are a result of my interactions with industry experts and personal research over the years. I was able to study the situation on a careful basis, and in the end, it all worked out.

Do you think these strategies you used are still applicable?

I can’t say for sure that the strategies I used will be applicable for all. These strategies are not one-fits-all strategies. Whether they will work for you will depend largely on the situation at hand.

If what you are facing is similar on all fours to what I have faced, they will work for you. If not, I will say you should spend time and resources carving your strategies. It is only after this that you can be sure of a solution.

What do you have to say to younger entrepreneurs who are towing your business line and are likely to meet similar difficulties?

I am particularly happy that, daily, there are entrepreneurs who see prospects in this line of business. And what makes me happier is that new grounds are being broken for easier business. This alone will almost make me forget that I faced some difficulties, and there are people after me who may face the same.

My advice for them is to take things gently but be on the lookout for great opportunities that will spell great achievements for them. Regarding the difficulties they may face, I think I have just two things to say.

One is that they will get rejected for opportunities and get their ideas turned down. The second is that giving up is not an option. If you must succeed in this business, then you have to be resilient and pursue excellence wholeheartedly.

After scaling through, are there renewed prospects for your real estate business

I would like to think there is. And I firmly believe that the prospects are high. At the same time, I am not closing my eyes to these new prospects.
